As a core market for Africa's energy transformation, South Africa enjoys excellent solar resources, with average daily solar radiation of 4.5–6.5 kWh/㎡. The country is vigorously expanding PV and wind power and deploying energy storage and hydrogen under the IRP, REIPPPP and Just Energy Transition plans. The 2025 IRP proposes 41GW of new PV capacity between 2025 and 2039, 5GW of battery storage by 2030 and 8.5GW of grid-side storage by 2039. As Eskom accelerates its coal phase-out and opens the market to independent power producers, demand for PV and storage on the grid side, household side and in industrial and commercial sectors remains robust.

To build a platform connecting the new energy industries, SNEC SMART E Africa will be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg. We sincerely invite Global enterprises to participate, connect with political leaders, power grids, EPCs, developers, channels and financial institutions across Africa, and seize the opportunities of the continent's energy transformation.
